R.I.P. Mark Linkous
Mark Linkous, the tremendously multi-talented man behind the band Sparklehorse (a personal favorite) has taken his own life, shooting himself in the heart in front of a friends house in Knoxville, TN. He was 47.
His current record label Anti- confirmed that Mark had almost completed a new Sparklehorse album following on the heels of his controversial (and legally entangled) collaboration with Dangermouse and David Lynch , Dark Night Of The Soul, one of Diggin' To China's best of 2009 picks.
I've been writing a lot of obituaries about suicides lately. Folks, look around you, look at you friends , your family, yourself if you need help, get help; if you can help, do help.
