David Letterman has been on a roll recently having some of my favorite genre redefining/transcending artists including Bat for Lashes, Marianne Faithful and this brilliant performance of Aeon from The Crying Light by the incomparable Antony and the Johnsons. Antony as always is a emotional powerhouse and who's vocals ring with a purity rarely seen in modern performers.
Amazing. I'd love to see Antony do a record of RnB and Soul standards personally re-imagining Motown as a temple of prayers to gods who care not for gender or definition, simply hymns of power and loss and above all, love.
