Trevor Knight is an award-winning adult film actor who just scored the AVN award for "Best Top" in the industry, which is really saying something. The gorgeous Boston native with the distinctive gravelly voice is also incredibly outspoken and open when it comes to the porn industry, his co-stars, and the growing phenomenon of "gay-for-pay" performers (straight men who do gay porn for the money) like Cody Cummings and Kurt Wilde. Nothing Knight says comes off as catty or gossip-y, simply as a man stating the facts and his own experiences . His candid nature and jovial attitude are as appealing as his good looks. DtC: What's the best part of the job?
Trevor: The best part, MONEY and travel.
DtC: The not-so-great part?
Trevor: I have met and seen so much of the world because of porn. I was a mild-mannered nurse a long time ago and I know I wouldn't have been to the places and see what I have if I would have continued with that career. The not-so-great are the stereotypes
DtC: Which are?
Trevor: I don't do drugs and I'm not HIV+ , but because I do this people assume I do both and that's just unfair. They don't take the time to look at the "person," but the industry as a whole, and that's wrong in my eyes
DtC: Do you remember the first porn you saw?
Trevor: Me? LMAO no... but I bet it was a straight one.
DtC: Any advice for young men wanting to get into the industry?
Trevor: The young guys just need to keep themselves grounded. I see models get big heads and turn into divas, but all they are doing then is setting themselves up for a horrible downfall. My first movie ever, on the first day, I thought that it would all be over right after that. I don't assume anything from the industry.
DtC: Is there anything you haven't accomplished in the industry that you really want to?
Trevor: ADEN JARIC... lol. I've done it all in the business. I've modeled, I was a photographer, I am a director and I've cast movies so I've basically done it all. I would be doing what I do whether there was a camera in a room or not! LOL.
DtC: Do you want to cross over to non-sex films?
Trevor: Umm... the mainstream stuff. I'm working on a demo tape for voice over now.
DtC: Oh, you do have a great voice!
Trevor: Too many people have just stopped in their tracks when I talk and so many people tell me "it's your voice," so... let's see what happens.
DtC: As a fan of porn, I must say your voice is what hooked me at first- I really dislike silent porn when they seem bored. I'm like, someone tell someone what to do, please! As fun as sex scenes are, you take it seriously and professionally. I know you've remarked that you've had scenes only turn out well because you carried it, a testament to your acting abilities for sure.
Trevor: Ohhh... I have turned grade F scenes into B or A. It's been hard, but I find a connection with the models and I run with that. Oh, did I tell you I refuse to work with straight models?
DtC: No, but THANK YOU! That's something I wanted to ask you about. What the hell is up with gay-for-pay models on every damn site?! I know you've worked with some in the past; glad to hear you refuse now.
Trevor: I hate it. It makes the scene ten times harder. It does! Then they have to openly take about humping vagina just so that everyone on set knows they are straight.

DtC: You've worked with Cody Cummings, and I'm like, that bitch needs to suck a dick already.

Trevor: ...Ohhh that was a set up to work with him. I was booked for five scenes with that company and he was the first scene out of all of them. When I found out he wouldn't suck my dick, I refused to do the scene. Then the producer said if you don't do this scene, then we can't use you for the rest of your scenes.
DtC: You can plead the 5th if you want-but is he as horrible and douche-y as he seems ?
Trevor: I don't plead the 5th on anything. When I did my scene, that was the first time I've ever met him and yes [he's] a total dbag... but now after a few years he's warmed up to me at events and stuff and he's not so bad. LOL. Last year at the GayVN awards, he wouldn't leave my side. I think he felt out of place.
DtC: He sort of turns me off, personally. I mean he's physically attractive I guess, but I feel if you work in that industry lighten the fuck up. It's like he's forgotten sex is funny, and supposed to be fun. He even looks bored fucking women.
Trevor: I never watch his stuff, so I don't know.
DtC: Who would you always agree to work with? Someone you've had a scene with in the past?

Trevor: Jayden Grey and I have a great chemistry together. He's a diva now, but its always good to work with him around. Tommy Blade was hot sex too. Kurt Wilde (although straight) turned his ass inside out for me and it turned out really well.
DtC: Speaking of Kurt Wilde, he is straight and apparently has kids and was fired from a freakin' Subway restaurant for doing gay porn (and was on the Tyra Banks Show--so random). Any thoughts on that kind of reaction, as someone who was his costar ?
Trevor: I've seen his web interviews when he's all drunk and yelling at his girlfriends and picks up his kid (while wasted) and shows him off to his webcam. It's honestly creepy.. He did NOT keep himself grounded... And the thing is, these straight guys that make gay porn... there is NO way a straight company would hire them. NEVER! LOL.
DtC: There is a stigma against male-male sex, but not faux lesbian sex, which is annoying.
DtC: So what's up next for Trevor Knight?
Trevor: Ummm... I have a hothouse school Oct. 13th and I will direct something late November for OnTheHunt.
DtC: My husband just wandered through the room and asked me to ask you to hook him up with Dempsy from Suite 703- I have now sent him on a coffee run for that.
