ראש השנה‎

    Shana Tovah!  It's Rosh Hashanah (ראש השנה‎ = Jewish New Year!)  first of the High Holy days, the Days of Awe (Yamim Noraim) and will wrap up with Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement).  So with Rosh Hashanah thus begins the diet-destroying endless meal making of sweet delicious foodstuffs. Oh well, pass the honey-basted roast chicken with apples! I want a sweet New Year!
