Oh Fuck You, Pastor Stephen L. Anderson

Dear Christian leaders,

While I am not a follower of your faith (I'm Jewish- you know , the old testament that you guys write the fairly successful sequel to) I am keenly aware of the principals that you teach , for the most part I actually really approve, I mean not all the Doomsday stuff, but the kindness and compassion- totally on the up and up. It has come to my attention however- that you have lost your damn minds somewhere along the way. The following quotes are from one of your nationally recognized spokes persons. A pastor for Faithful Word Baptist Church, Stephen L. Anderson.

"When I go to bed at night Steven L. Anderson will pray for Barack Obama to die and go to hell."

"I believe that every homosexual in the world is a deviant, is evil, and is a predator that is out to recruit others through molestation, through rape. It's in the news...I would keep my kids away from them. They're deviants. They're not normal. I am saying that [Barney Frank]'s perverted, and he's sick, and I would put him in the category of other homosexuals. Do I think that homosexuality should be against the law? Well, it's against God's law."

Yeah ain't he a peach. He also recently did a radio interview where the Phoenix Times reported the following:

"It really got rockin' towards the end when a gay fella called up and asked the pastor about the part in Leviticus that says you can kill your children if they "curse" you. Anderson had to admit this was true, and he seemed to sign on to this bit of dark, religious insanity as well. Ditto on the whole stoning adulterers thing, BTW. Though he thinks the government should do the stoning. You know, like they used to in Afghanistan n'stuff."

"If someone's gonna twist my arm behind my back," he tells the sunday-go-to-meetin' crowd, "and tell me to pray for Barack Obama -- this is what I'm going to pray, because this is only prayer that applies to him: Break his teeth, oh God, in his mouth, as a snail which melteth, let him pass away, like an untimely birth of a woman -- that he thinks -- he calls it a woman's right to choose, you know, he thinks it's so wonderful, he ought to be aborted. It ought to be, `Abort Obama,' that ought to be the motto."

There is absolutely no Christ left in your Christianity folks. This is religiously sanctioned Hate-Mongering. You should be in your churches every Sunday, repenting and praying- for forgiveness for this kind of action, for your own Pastor's words are using the Bible which you profess adherence to push hate- when the message of the text is compassion, and love. Shame on you. This is absolutely disgusting . When I go to bed tonight, I'll pray for you.
