The Human Remains (2006)

My first non-student narrative short, an abrievated film treatment of a long and plague ridden film project. Despite a quite troubled shoot, a film where 90% of the footage was excised and reworked I'm happy with the end result. Crystal MacTaggart's raw and anguished performance is the real draw here as the Danish inspired camera work twitches and swirls giving the whole film a queasy off-kilter feeling. This is the film that will ever be special to my heart as t was my first screened for teh public in a festival and it also helped land me my first real film job, which led to my career launch.
